Bill pulls the ship in a bottle out of the web, tosses it up and down in his hand.

She snickered. "I literally just got killed and am in the process of getting de-rezz'd back into Elrena. That's why I have her memories. Far as I know, the rest of the baddies will get gished shortly, so it's time to wait around as boring old Elrena until she goes crazy again and becomes a Heartless for a third time because she can't handle her shit." A shrug.

"That's the life of a Nobody. You die, you go back to being your Somebody and the Nobody stops existing. Ya get used to it."

"WHAT, LIKE HER ALTERNATE PERSONALITY? AND - THIS IS ALL ASSUMING YOU GO HOME."

"True enough. That's what they say about Assumptions. They make an ass out of you and Umption, and he never did anything to anyone." Another wicked laugh. She thought she was hilarious. "So, a Nobody's what's left behind when a Somebody gets corrupted. Less an alternate personality, more a shadow of a person that has more power than that person."

"What? The stupid hoodie? HAHA, nope, that's just a uniform. I don't actually wear it when I'm 'awake.'" Yes, that was with air quotes. "My girlfriend stole it. So I dress in a few colors these days." Trade secret. She dressed just like Elrena, so about half black.

"No real downsides, unless you actually like feeling emotions strongly. I've got them back a little, and gotta say. Take 'em or leave 'em."

She actually laughed, very very openly. "Oh maaaaan, do I know that feel. Seriously, dude, if you don't normally have that, getting it back is so annoying. Sure, there's the happy moments but I became this way on purpose." A shake of her head. "And you can never completely go back, and you know it. It's like Pandora's Box."

"Make monsters scream since that keeps everyone else happy that I'm doing it to them and not the sleepers. Work for a 'legitimate business-man,' deal with random crap that is fun half the time and fuck my girlfriend." she laughed a little at the end, shaking her head. "I think she's crazy too. I'm not dating material, but I was in a weird head space when we met."

Completely amnesiac and still struggling with the whole 'big Sister' protect all kids urges. So she'd been even more a fake good guy at the time.

"They're a legitimate business person and that's all I'm saying on that," she said, giving the triangle one hell of wink and a snicker. "Come on. Let us legit business types have our fun little names."

"You know it's really kind of a small op considering this town's size? And it's a lot more 'legitimate' than you'd think for this sort of thing. Whole lotta weapon smuggling, so it's really more of a supply operartion for fighting monsters, but hey. Ya do what you gotta to alleviate the boredom." She snickered. "Watch out for the kitty cats though, by the way. They will FUCK you up if you break the law in front of them."

"I NOTICED THEM. ANY TIPS FOR GETTING AROUND 'EM? NOT EXACTLY A FAN OF THE LAW, AND IT'S MUTUAL!"

"They're scarce during events, believe it or not. Don't always get involved in those. But there's only like 30 in town or so, so if you're careful to watch for them before you do you should be ok most of the time."

"HUH. SO DO YOUR CRIMES WHILE SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING CRIMES SOMEWHERE ELSE!"

"Hah isn't that always how you avoid the cops even on normal days?" she said with a bemused bark of a laugh. "Yeah, that's the general idea. And if you hear someone's out there causing trouble? That's a better time to do it somewhere on your own."

"Y'KNOW, MAYBE THERE'S A PROFITABLE RELATIONSHIP IN HERE FOR YOU GUYS AND ME. IF YOU NEED SOMEONE TO MAKE A LOT OF NOISE ON THE OTHER END OF TOWN, FOR INSTANCE ..."

"Now there's a thought. Tell you what. You seem like a clever little trapezoid," she said, getting the geometry wrong on purpose because it was funny to her. "Do both of us a favor. Contact Ashe. Probably by phone. She's not so big on dreams I'm betting. She's the decision maker in this little enterprise."

"SURE. TRY TO REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU WAKE UP, THOUGH. I'M GOING TO DROP YOUR NAME."

"Yeah yeah. I think this REM cycle's over anyway. You go do... whatever it is one-eyed pyramids do and I'll see you around." She waved him off as the dream definitely started to fade.

Bill tips his hat as she fades out - and goes to dial Ashe.
